My baby is ONE!

I had mixed feelings on this day...I was excited to have a ONE year old but also sad at how fast this year disappeared. It's hard to believe my once tiny 5lb 14oz 18in newborn is now a 23lb ONE year old. He is a funny and crazy boy. He is shy around new people and loves to silently look around at new surroundings when we go out. People always comment on how good he is. I kind of enjoy it because he is very snuggly with Mom when new people are around! Let's just say he makes a good first impression! At home or places he is comfortable he is a different boy. He is a LOUD little monster exploring, climbing, and getting into everything! He can say "Mom- Mom" or "Ma-Ma," "Daaadd" or "Da-da" which is probably his favorite. He also says "hi" when waving, most of the time. He also tries to say "dog" but he forgets the "g" at the end. When he hears Jason's truck pull into the garage he starts screaming "Dad," "Dad," "Da-da." It's funny because he says the full word "Dad" more than "da-da." He LOVES his binki more than ever before...I think we are in trouble. He started taking a few unassisted steps right around his birthday! But he is now officially walking ALL over! Oh yeah...he LOVES to dance! When Dax hears music he insantly starts to dance. He will even dance while in his car seat! It is adorable to say the least! We are so SO happy this precious little man, Dax, is OURS!
